The Political and Legislative Affairs Committee of the CPC Guangdong Committee on Tuesday published a message on Weibo calling for citizens to make suggestions on how the law could better assist those who offer help to people in danger.
The message read: "Please stop the coldness. 微博信息這樣寫(xiě)道：“請(qǐng)停止冷漠，廣東將開(kāi)展‘譴責(zé)見(jiàn)死不救行為，倡導(dǎo)見(jiàn)義勇為精神’大討論，問(wèn)計(jì)于民，您在這里的建議將可能成為廣東政策法規(guī)！”
在中國(guó)過(guò)去的十年中，如何更好地保護(hù)好心人是一個(gè)嚴(yán)重的問(wèn)題。
【講解】
文中的“good Samaritans”就是“好心人”的意思。Samaritan是中東種族的撒馬利亞人，以樂(lè)善好施聞名。在美國(guó)和加拿大，有一項(xiàng)Good Samaritan law（好撒瑪利亞人法），用來(lái)保護(hù)自愿救助者。文中的“leave people in mortal danger out of indifference”即“見(jiàn)死不救”，“見(jiàn)義勇為”可譯為“lend a hand to those who need help”。
